Hi all. I'm 25 and have 3 years of experience as a software developer at a large enterprise software MNC in Bangalore, in the healthcare/life sciences domain. I've been talking this through with AI tools a lot, and I've realised I need opinions from actual people before I do anything. Where I am The product is mature and old-stack, and most of my work is maintenance, releases and migrations. I'm not growing, and my pay has moved about 4% in 3 years (I'm at ~₹20 LPA total). Honestly, I've started hating the work. The bigger problem is mental. I'm anxious about my career pretty much every day. The job takes enough of my time and energy that I barely manage to study after work, so I spend most of my free time thinking about switching instead of preparing for it, which makes the anxiety worse. Hitting 3 YOE has made it feel more urgent. A couple of my friends have gone to the US for a master's, and others have switched companies, and it feels like I'm the one standing still."
