Hey guys, if you missed it, Anadarko just agreed to settle $114.5 million with investors over claims related to its Shenandoah oil field. The settlement terms have already been submitted to the court for approval. In a nutshell, investors accused Anadarko of overstating the value and potential of its Shenandoah assets and appraisal wells while failing to disclose important information about the project. In 2017, Anadarko disclosed a $467 million impairment charge and another $435 million in suspended exploratory well costs related to Shenandoah. The stock dropped about 8% the following day, and investors later filed a lawsuit over their losses."

I’ve been getting into coins lately and found a 1921 Peace Dollar, I was going crazy just to have it. I had been looking for through a private seller, everything seemed normal at first. The photos looked good and the seller seemed to know his stuff, then right before payment some of the details started changing, different payment instructions and a bit more pressure to get the deal done quickly. Nothing was crazy obvious on its own but together it felt off. I ended up checking through another contact instead of sending the money, noticed kibu around the same time while looking into verification for private deals. Thankfully I stopped before losing anything. Funny thing is I’d spent hours worrying about whether the coin was authentic and barely thought about whether the person selling it was actually who I thought they were. For anyone buying coins privately what do you usually check before sending money, I want to know so I can mitigate the risk of being scammed as my taste aint that cheap lol."
