Options suck… Don’t waste your time. (It may be a skill issue, but I truly believe it’s the worst way to make money.) 2.) When profitable don’t take more risk to become a millionaire. Use the money to pay off your “now” bills and any high interest debt. Try to get to a million as slow as possible. The boring way. Take your profits and put them in a different account.

Wife and I gross about 250k a year so I believe I’m in the range where most people do traditional 401k to save on taxes now. I will have a pension in the range of 75k plus social security in retirement. My concern is that my retirement income is overwhelmingly taxable so I’m considering going full Roth 401k. It may not be optimal but I can afford it and right now my ROTH bucket is teeny tiny compared to the others. Am I dumb for considering paying more just to have more of that ROTH bucket freedom later? Thanks, I’m kind of a newbie at these decisions.
