I’ve already gone through six interviews, and I have two more scheduled this week. I’d really prefer the FTE position, but at this point I think my chances are probably 50/50. At the same time, I’ve been interviewing for a contract role paying $100/hour. The recruiter told me that if I get and accept the contract offer, I’ll need to stop interviewing with the FTE company and withdraw from that process. I’m conflicted because I don’t want to turn down a real contract offer for an FTE role I may not get. But I also don’t want to walk away from the FTE process after six rounds when it’s the job I actually want.
