The basic idea is that you take a short quiz about things like your food preferences, household size, budget, goals, and where you shop. HealthTrek then builds a personalized weekly meal plan, gives you the full recipes, combines everything into one shopping list, and estimates what the groceries should cost.
The goal is basically to make meal planning and grocery shopping way less annoying. Instead of finding 5 random recipes, realizing they use completely different ingredients, making your own list, and then having no idea what it'll cost, the app handles that whole process together.
Right now the site is live and has a catalog of around 2,500 structured recipes. It has personalized weekly plans, full recipe pages, consolidated shopping lists, estimated costs, accounts for saving plans, email/PDF export, and a responsive web interface. I've also been exploring store-specific pricing and grocery integrations so eventually it could use real local pricing/inventory and potentially let you send the list directly to your store.
There's currently no meaningful revenue or traction yet. I built this as a separate project and I'm considering selling it so I can put the money/time into a larger startup I'm working on.
So I'm curious:
1 Do you think this is actually a good/useful product idea?
2 What would you change or add before trying to sell it?
3 If you were buying or valuing something like this with a working product, 2,500-recipe database, branding/domain, but basically no revenue yet, what would you realistically expect it to sell for?
