As wallets get better at delegated execution, where should we actually keep friction? Been reading more about account abstraction and delegated permissions lately and one thing I keep coming back to is whether making every onchain action easier is always the right goal. Ethereum's account abstraction docs talk about smart contract wallets being able to use custom security rules, batch transactions and make things like swaps much closer to a one click experience. They also give examples like requiring multiple signatures for higher value transactions or restricting transactions to trusted addresses. Then there's ERC-7715 which takes the idea further. It's still a draft, but the basic idea is that a dapp could request permission to execute transactions on someone's behalf while rules limit what that permission actually allows. The proposal specifically mentions things like passive investments and limit orders where having to manually approve every transaction can get in the way.
