How do you account for Bitcoin's movements when trading altcoins? I mainly trade altcoins, but Bitcoin keeps messing up my setups. I can find a beautiful pattern with a clear entry, good risk/reward, and everything looks perfect, but then BTC suddenly moves in the opposite direction and completely invalidates it. How do you guys handle this? Do you check BTC's trend, structure, and key levels before entering an altcoin trade? Do you use BTC as a market-wide filter, wait for confirmation, or just avoid trading alts when BTC is volatile? I'm particularly interested in how you determine whether it's safe to enter an altcoin trade based on BTC's current price action, rather than simply reacting after BTC has already moved.
