My Pump.fun bot performs well on PAPER but badly LIVE — is ~500ms already too slow? I’ve been building an ultra-early Pump.fun trading bot. The basic flow is: CREATE → 50–160ms micro-flow check → BUY → monitor momentum → exit on the first meaningful drop / no-momentum. I’m using Helius + PumpPortal + Pump.fun. On PAPER some versions perform surprisingly well, but LIVE the results are much worse. My real BUY landing time is often around 400–600ms. I’m trying to understand whether the main problem is execution latency or if the strategy itself has no real edge. Has anyone tested something similar? Is 400–600ms already too slow for very early Pump.fun entries? Are flow acceleration / flow purity actually useful before entry? Does a FIRST-DROP exit make sense this early? How do you simulate realistic PAPER fills without accidentally creating fake profitability? I’m more interested in real execution data than backtest-only results.
