I built 2 of them myself, and my current PC is a prebuilt. Every single one of them has had the same issue: they get obnoxiously loud as soon as I launch a game. I’m honestly exhausted from trying to figure this out because it seems like I’m the only person who consistently has this problem. As soon as I boot up a game, my fans ramp up to what sounds like 100% RPM. It doesn’t matter what game I’m playing. I’ve tried tweaking BIOS fan curves, changing in-game settings, limiting FPS, messing with Windows/NVIDIA settings, etc., but nothing has really fixed it.

I've noticed that some SQL scripts I've seen have a bunch of DECLARE statements at the top for dates, IDs, flags, thresholds, etc. Something like: DECLARE @start_date DATE; DECLARE @end_date DATE; DECLARE @status VARCHAR(20); DECLARE @threshold INT; It definitely makes some scripts easier to read, but at some point I wonder if the query is becoming overly parameterized. How do you decide when a variable is actually useful versus just making the SQL harder to follow? Do you have a rule of thumb for this in production code?
