I just received a letter from the IRS, letter 6174. I read this post on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoTax/comments/1ksc109/letter_from_irs/ and one of the top comments says it basically means the IRS knows I had income from crypto transactions, but didn't report it. But I did report my crypto income. I reported as short-term capital gains. I had a lot of transactions, which were practically a wash, but since I had transferred some crypto to my CB wallet from another account, I had to provide a cost basis, which I believe CB doesn't report?"
