Every year I read multiple posts regarding tech outages of brokers and order routers. There was even a situation where CME had halted for 10 hours due to some tech issue. Now imagine during that tech issue, there's a massive volatility event, Trump posts some tweet, or a black swan event occurs during that time. Don't think your stop will save you, because it can easily gap over it like crazy. And with futures, it's leveraged, so you can lose FAR more than even what account holds.
