I don't want it to pass. Every version of "clarity" being sold right now just means banks and politicians get a permanent, legal seat at the table for something that was built specifically so they wouldn't need one. The math on the bill is bad for Democrats no matter what happens, if it passes, Republicans get credit from the crypto industry, if it fails, Republicans just blame whichever Democrats voted it down. Either way, this isn't really about protecting users. It's about which party gets to hold the crypto industry's money and votes. And then Hunter Biden launched $LAPTOP one week before the vote, right when both parties are fighting over money and votes. Was it just a cash grab? A political move? Did he know something the rest of us didn't? I don't know. But it's one more reminder that when politics and crypto mix, the people involved usually aren't thinking about the people actually holding the asset."
