ok this might be a newbie post. I keep seeing "crypto is going to end dollar dominance," and the more I look at where stablecoin money actually goes, the more I think it might be the opposite? What is "stable" really mean here? Correct me if Im wrong here, stablecoins are backed by reserves, and those reserves are mostly parked in short-term US Treasuries. The market's now around $322B. And then the GENIUS Act comes along and basically requires every compliant stablecoin to be backed 1:1 by cash and Treasuries. So now US law is quietly turning the fastest-growing part of crypto into a permanent buyer of US government debt. Every new stablecoin dollar = new demand for Treasuries. That doesn't sound like the dollar losing, does it?"
