There are several reasons to dislike the whole crypto space, however, most people in the space seem impervious to economics. However, being able to lose all your btc overnight seems like something that even the economical savants of the space should grasp. In fact, they do. Whenever some wallet gets hacked, the company line is always that somehow the user in question fucked up. But, what if it wasn’t down to the user’s security, but that of the blockchain itself? I keep asking myself why btc people don’t take a 51% attack seriously and I can’t come up with a good answer. Even if you’re completely economically illiterate, as long as you understand the concept of a 51% attack you should be worried about the possibility. I am wholly convinced there are a lot of entities that could perform one but simply lack motivation to do so."
