Users can now protect their accounts against future quantum threats and the network scales automatically with demand.

[Spoken audio]: Today, actually, we had the mainnet upgrade for the NIRCore 213, so this is our protocol client. And it introduced quantum cryptography. So now, on NIR, on mainnet, you can rotate your keys to be post-quantum secure. And it introduced dynamic resharding. So this is one of the final pieces of our original sharding design, which which would allow to scale network dynamically, right? There's no people needing to like vote or anything. It would like change the number of shards as there's more demand as there's more state to store. So kind of resolving some of the like long standing questions of like, what do you do when blockchain is like keep growing? And so all of this landed today. Like, I mean, obviously it's been in testnet and then it gets voted in. And so like, it's been around Twitter already, But today is actually like this is all live on mainnet. There's some wallets that support now. You can actually like rotate your keys. And kind of on this aspect, right? I mean, quantum is obviously evolving. Science is getting faster. I mean, we just saw Jacobian conjecture being disproven by like somebody while watching soccer, clearly. And so like we expect the, you know, quantum computing is gonna accelerate from here. And so we think it's important to give users as much time as possible to really rotate their keys. And so that's why we released this really kind of early. We think we're probably one of the first ones, it's not the first to do this. We're partnering also with partners like on the wallet side who's gonna offer that. And so the goal is to let you have a post quantum secure wallet. And because of NIR you can actually hold your Bitcoin, your Ethereum, all of your assets, You may as well hold all of them near as well. So near.com, you can now do that. And so that's really the goal, is like to offer that long-term protection so you can, you know, if you have your, you know, seed phrase, hardware wall, et cetera, that you use for this, that you can like stack them into the place and not think about that."
