I built one and sold it to companies for $50 each. Here's how I did it. I added this prompt here to build a client automation portal where each client can log in and see their project status, upcoming deliverables, invoices, and messages all on one dashboard. I chose to create it using rocket-new slash build because it actually creates the full stack using a super-based backend, Stripe webhook, authentication, and even email notifications. This normally takes you more than five AI tools combined together to do. On my side, I have an admin panel where I can manage each client, update their project status, trigger automated emails when milestones are hit and track payments through Stripe Webhook in real time. So when a client pays an invoice, Stripe then updates a webhook and the portal gets updated automatically and then the client sees it reflected instantly. Then I refined it more to make it worth paying for. I added an onboarding flow so new users get a welcome email. I also added automated weekly status updates that post from their project data directly in emails to client every week. Here's the part that made the biggest difference for me. When I was working on the project, I hit a problem with the Stripe Webhook integration where I needed a client sale to trigger the email to send an automation. I couldn't figure it out for a few hours and Rocket.new's success support team stepped in to figure it out within minutes. A real person helped me work through the integration without me even sending an email. This made the process so much smoother because I not only got it blocked faster, I also didn't have to waste any time trying various flows that could break my automation. Every person running a service business has the same problem. Clients constantly emailing asking for updates, invoicing getting lost and onboarding taking way too long.
