On January 11th he happened to buy [Spoken audio]: Start me in the middle January 2025. What actually appear on chain and what did people start to notice? Yeah, so, you know, like you saying in the end of the last thing like just as you were wrapping up and before you were starting This is like, you know base was going through this huge pump, right with virtuals like virtuals The AI crypto trade was firing really hot a like we had things like AI XBT and and VEDA and Lunar and all these projects that were launching through virtuals were getting a lot of attention. They were getting really hot. And I was like, you know, I've been in crypto since 2017. I missed out on DeFi summer in 2020. I missed out on NFTs in 2022. I missed out on memes in 2023 and 2024. And I was just like, you know, I'm really conservative, right? Like I've got my bag. I hold it. I'm happy with my hold. And I saw all these these things that passed me by and I was just like, you know what, this is the time for me to do something here, right? So I got a couple of bots, like wallet snipering bots and stuff, and like just started buying every token that launched on January 1st, 2025. And on January 11th, Tipper launched, it was a token just like many of the launches that happened on the virtuals platform, you know, a billion tokens, all of it is out public right there. There's a, you know, in a swap v2 pool that virtuals throws the tokens into like, you know, it's a bonding curve where if you hit certain market cap after that, it becomes like a real token, you know, and that's that's when I saw it and that's when I bought it, but I had no idea what it was. And I was very much of the mindset that like, you know, even if I buy a thousand tokens, all I need is one of them to do well to make it up for all the others. So I wasn't actually selling anything. I round-tripped so many bags, like 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 Xs, and with Tipper, like I said, I got in that $220,000 market cap. I was one of the first 10 people to buy because I was just buying every token. And it looked like any other token that launched on virtuals at the time. You wouldn't get too much information about launches. There were just so many happening. And what happened really soon is that we found out that the wallet that the deployer got their money from was Mickey Malka's wallet. Now, I'd never heard of Mickey Malka before. I didn't know who that guy was. But one of the things I think I don't know if you guys remember, but there was a lot of idea, you know, with the meme tokens and stuff that there were people who were quite prominent and they'd launch tokens like, oh, no, this is a test token, you know, this is a real thing, we're just playing around blah, blah, blah, all this kind of stuff. And there was as soon as people started saying, oh, this is Mickey Malka's wallet. And, you know, this guy's from permanent VC and the idea was, oh, this is going to be like a test token, right? Like, no, it's just going to be a test token. He's going to come out in a couple of days' time and say it's a test token. I'm still holding the tokens, but I was kind of cautious about buying more. Like, oh, we got hacked and we didn't log in. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. My wallet got hacked, blah, blah, blah, all this kind of stuff. But one of the things that, you know, you have to realize is making markers, being in crypto like from the very early days. And the more you learn about him, the more you realize that, you know, his wallet means something. He's got a digital art collection worth millions of dollars through kauban.eth, which is directly linked to Mickey Malka, the wallet. And then that is on his Farcast, the profile, the ENS, MickeyMalka.eth. And you can see that, you know, it's a 2,800 day wallet. That's like nearly eight years or something. And like right from the early days of ETH, you know, that was all there. So his wallet was all there and all the information was right on chain. So you could see right away that there was something here, you know, but they didn't take any major allocation for themselves. They didn't prove by any of their tokens on the bonding, very small amount of tokens. And it launched at, you know, $40,000 or $50,000 market cap. And that's what it is. So that was there. Now the name itself is really funny because it's Tibber, T-I-B-B-I-R, which is Ribbit backwards. And that kind of became a meme in the community, right? Like, you know, Tibber is Ribbit backwards, which obviously is. But one thing that's really funny is that Ribbit capital have this line that they like to use. It's like invert, always invert, right? Like, you know, invert expectations, invert systems, and here they inverted their name of their company. So that was, I think, quite interesting.
