And now it's like, alright, Bitcoin seems to be still correlated to this crypto native relatively random four year cycle for absolutely no reason. And I think the simplest explanation for Bitcoins for your cycle is possibly one that people spend the least time talking about. It's maybe just the block subsidy. Bitcoin miners currently produce about 164,000 Bitcoin per year. So at $65,000 Bitcoin, that's about $11 billion of new supply annually. At $100,000 Bitcoin price, that's about $16 billion annually. At a $500,000 Bitcoin price, that's more than $82 billion annually. So Bitcoin mining is one of the most competitive industries in the world. Over time, competition pushes cost of the miners toward the revenue of the miners. And since those costs are paid in dollars, miners continually sell Bitcoin to fund their operations. Now, for context, since that's the supply side of the block subsidy, US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $21 billion of net inflows in all of 2025. And through mid 2026, Bitcoin spot ETF flows have been significantly weaker and actually net negative this year. So at today's price, annual minor issuance is already worth roughly half of the entire 2025 ETF inflows, which is a relatively interesting gauge on Bitcoin demand net new Bitcoin demand. Now at $500,000 Bitcoin, annual minor issuance would be worth more than $82 billion, nearly four times 2025 ETF inflows. Of course, prices for everything, including Bitcoin, are set at the margin. Most Bitcoin out there just sits in cold storage, and it never actually moves anywhere, never trades. The market price of Bitcoin is determined by the relatively small amount of Bitcoin that actually changes hands each day. Now, those Bitcoin can change hands multiple times. Daily Bitcoin volume is very high because there's a lot of traders. There's a lot of derivatives. There's a lot of perpetual swap activity. But at the end of the day, the amount of Bitcoin moving on chain daily is very small relative to the total amount of circulating Bitcoin. Now, of course, like long-term Bitcoin holders certainly sell during bull markets. But those are existing coins changing hands. Minor issuance is different. It's a recurring flow of newly created Bitcoin entering the market every single day and the market knows it's coming. Markets are forward looking. We don't know future demand with certainty, but we actually do know future supply of Bitcoin almost perfectly. As Bitcoin's price rises, the number of Bitcoin mined stays the same, the dollar value of that future supply increases dramatically. The market has to decide whether future demand is likely to absorb 20 billion, 40 billion, or 80 billion of annual minor selling. The market continuously prices toward that equilibrium. Every four years, the having decreases the future supply schedule. And maybe bitcoins for your cycle is simply the market continuously balancing Bitcoin's predictable supply, the four year havings with growing adoption and demand. So what exactly drives Bitcoin's four year cycle? It's been noted to be a number of things. There are a lot of different variables, but perhaps it's just adoption of this new unique monetary asset that happens to have a four year supply distribution schedule.
