One of the main things I do is also help the founders thinking through the legal and regulatory and policy issues as they're building out their products. If you're doing something completely novel and new, there's a lot of gray area. We steer away from triggering a bunch of compliance obligations and a bunch of legal fees on things when you're not ready for that. And so kind of keeping people in a safe area to experiment. Anything, you know, in the DeFi space previously, there was like a real risk of SEC investigations, possible criminal charges. It was a much more heavy-handed regulatory environment, whereas there's much more kind of openness for experimentation. And so it's not the legal and regulatory stuff that's going to stop you. It's whether or not the market wants your product, wants what you're building. The skill set that I bring is that I can just take the emotion out of situations and try to think about things logically and help people get to some place that's like pragmatic and solutions oriented. I'm curating kind of a set of legal contacts that are really practical, really fast, cost-effective, connect them to people who are pragmatic, fast, understand the space, can get things done as opposed to a lot of times startup founders get a check, they're working with like some big law firm that like has a venture practice, They're just thinking about like different ways to extract fees I think there's tons of things to do in New York people here in every single industry are Super driven super ambitious the people that stay here are also like people who have succeeded Everybody around me where I live is like generally pretty successful because they had to have been to be there It's much more diverse the scale of it. It's much bigger. San Francisco has a singular focus I think New York, there's people doing so many different kinds of things that you can get access to finance, but you can get access to media. You can get access to like the arts, you can get access to a whole host of things in terms of like who your customer base is, the networks involved here, makes New York like a really interesting place to build. Getting to work with founders, getting to think through and see how ideas evolve, how they're trying to get product market fit, helping them where I can is really gratifying." --- ## Contributing Accounts - `@Lids59` (https://x.com/Lids59)
