I get the theoretical risks of a hot wallet, but I honestly think they are overstated. For example I use blue wallet on my iPhone. I have the written down and backed up in a safe and on my password manager. What are the real risks here? the iPhone has built in encryption, the apps are all sandboxed. So I guess someone could steal my phone but it’s that same risks as my bank accounts and stuff like that. A cold wallet is technically safer, but it’s another whole device to manage when your phone is perfectly capable of doing the same thing. Am I missing something else? Are most people really using cold wallets for most if not all their bitcoin?"
